These ( left | right ) are examples of how I'd like my audio playback device to be built. Ideally, I'd like my device to stand upright with all of the controls and the 8-ohm speaker on the frontal face like the model on the right (although I'm not sure how that one was achieved because I don't see any wires). There will be play and pause buttons and a potentiometer for volume control. An LED screen to display what's being played would be optional.
Proposed parts list:
Arduino UNO
SD card reader module
SD card
LM386 Audio Amplifier
10uf Capacitor (2)
100uf Capacitor (2)
1K,10K Resistor
Push buttons (2)
Tactile button caps (2)
Potentiometer
Potentiometer knob
Breadboard
Connecting wires
Acrylic
Nuts and bolts
This will be the base guide for my project. The steps to implement the SD card reader and the audio amplifier will be followed fairly precisely and I will include the play and pause buttons. I intend to add a potentiometer to control the volume level.
